Sinus problems usually start with a viral head cold. Congestion in your nose blocks the drainage of your sinuses, and that can lead to acute sinusitis. Sinusitis symptoms you might experience include:
• Nasal congestion with thick nasal discharge
• Pain over the upper teeth
• Headache
• Post nasal drip and cough that is worse at night
• Bad breath
• Loss of smell
• Fatigue
• Fever
